My idea and proposal aimed to create not only a clothing collection but to create “design” tools with and for the weavers to give them more autonomy on the creation of new pieces based on local knowledge but for a global market.

The workshop took place between 15 a 19 de March 2010 at Casa das Tecedeiras in Janeiro de Cima and in Bogas do Meio, Fundão.

The pieces developed during the workshop will be part of the clothing collection of Aldeias do Xisto soon available at the network of shops Lojas das Aldeias do Xisto.
